As someone who wasn’t taught how to deal with emotions growing up, I know just how important it is to teach kids emotional intelligence early. It helps my kids understand not only how to navigate their own feelings but also how to show kindness and empathy to others. My grandchildren love these books. “Teach your Dragon Empathy” is my favorite. Empathy is hard to explain to a child. This book provided several examples that a 4+ child could understand.

I have fallen in love with this dragon Digory Doo. If you are a k-2 teacher than any book in this series is for you. Empathy is such a core value that many of our students are not taught at home. This book teaches it in a fun way and leads to some great discussions.
